In the Earlier cars, Up to 87, Both NA & Turbos had the Primary pick ups in the distributors but had diffrent advance weights as well as diffrent vac/advance actuators.

Later model C 900 Distibutors had the Crank signal "angle" pick up from two areas, The turbo had a Mechanical Advance Retard Actuator as well as the Crank angle pick up all inside the distributor. The NA distributers were Gutted, "No pick up inside" Just a Rotor, The Crank "angle" pick up for Primary ignition was located at the Crank pully.

You may need a New connector and pins to make a Remand work, The connector for the distributor changed around 86-87, All replacement distributors come with the later style connector.
