how much did that build cost and how did they mate the motor and trans?

 

Most sportbike motors usually the motor and trans share a common case/casting.

Pretty cool project.

 

Do they have reverse gear?

I consider buying a Fiat 126 here in Europe (cheap), but only to put a motorcycle engine in it when I return to the US later. But no reverse gear might be a deal killer, even on a 1200 lb car.

 

cut a hole in the floor and fred flinstone the car. I could imagine that being pretty funny and then really ugly. seriously though that sonnet makes me now want a sonnet which i never really have before

 

A Sonett with a well tuned V4 is one of the coolest sounding cars I have ever seen.

 

Someone turbo'd a V4 and I think it had something like 150 hp. It was probably decently quick.

 

I'm pretty sure it has reverse, the engine is mated to a "I believe" some form of Toyota 5spd trans, custom driveshaft, and another oldskool form of Toyota rear end. I personally haven't seen it in months and didn't really pay all that much attention to it. I just told him I want to drive it after the 28r is installed.
