Well I was out on My GSX 600 last night and after a nice ride, I met up with Lendo for some dinner about 2 miles from home. It has been insanely humid here the past week and after some rain, the humidity finally went down some so we sat outside. After some good food and fresh brewed beer enjoyed by Lendo, we paid our tab and went to the parking lot.
Pulling out of the lot, Lendo is in front of me and he gets on it, spinning some in 1st and taking off in 2nd. Looking left to check for traffic, I see a minivan flying up in the right lane after Lendo. After a second, I realize that is our towns undercover Dodge Caravan and that he is going to get Lendo. Well shit I think. He just had a ticket and can't afford another one (on probation) so I decide to do something.
I pull out and ofcourse, the van is on Lendo's ass reading his plate. Now about 1 1/2 miles from home, I decide to do something. The speedlimit is 45mph, 4 lane road, 2 each way. I drop it to 2nd and get on it. I picked up the front end some and went by Lendo and the cop at atleast 85mph and still climbing. I didn't bother to check back and turn into my neighborhood, easily out of sight of the cop. Through some turns and up the drive, I'm safe.
About 2 minutes later, what do you know. Lendo pulls in without a ticket. Apparently, the cop took the bait and took off, blowing right past our neighborhood. For once, I won.
