The climate control fan on my 94 9000 CSE wont shut off, in fact it only runs on high! Any ideas why and how to fix it? I was thinking of running a toggle switch to it under the dash for an on/ off operation.

Replace the fan speed resistor in the fan Housing

It is because this has gone bad and the connector is melted... not hard repair. Sometimes the connector does not melt completely if you catch it in time.

Thanks - any idea where this is located in the car?
Open the hood - remove the cowl cover (series of 8MM bolts I believe) back towards the windshield. Once that is out of the way - on the left side of the blower motor housing you will see the top of the controller as seen above in the image. There will be a square 4 pin connector you need to unplug and inspect. If it's too far melted you will need a new/used pig tail to replace the original one. Note that you can often find a good one on the fuel pump harness in the junk yard if you can't locate a good one where it should be. You can only use the plastic as the wires are not a high enough gauge however. As long as everything is OK the job should take 10-15 minutes tops.
Excellent - thanks so much for your help!
