well some time ago someone vandalized my car and dented it in multiple places.....i found out who...and had them pay for the repairs. It was all finished and now the clearcoat is peeling about a year later and its back in the shop to be fixed for free. How long do i need to wait until i can detail the car?? Does weather affect how long i need to wait to detail it? Its getting around freezing regularly now and i dont really know how i should take proper care of the car (with no wax on it) for the winter when i get it back...any suggestions would be great

Thanks, Will

I've been told after a car has been painted to wait atleast a month before you even wash it. If you wash it sooner, the paint could still be soft and you'd be rubbing the dirt right into the new paint and ruining the job. So i'd say wait about 3-4 weeks. The interior tho doesn't matter, just detail that for the time being. And yes, Castor had a good point, ask the place where it's being painted. Hope this helps
