I would not think that a C900 Valve cover would be a good swap but then again I have never tried it. I think that the mounts for the DI Cassette are different than the cover plate screws on the C900 cover but I will have to double check it. When I get home I will look at my C900 and see how it stacks up compared to the 9-3.
What kind of project where you looking at doing there ricot?
well i can get my hands on one for free and if it fit i would polish it and hand mine over to a buddy with a classic that is going to polish mine and take ecopower off of it so it just says power.... that would be for his c900
Let me know if it works since I have 2 x 2.3Liter covers in my garage right now for the C900 but 1 of which is going on my C900 since I have a small crack in mine. I will have to look at it tonight and really see if it would fit and work properly.
I can tell you from experience that you are better off paying 20 bucks and having it sand blasted. It took me 2 weeks to get the last one done that I sanded down by hand. They paint gets pretty baked and stuck on after all those years of heat soaking.
it works prefectly no problems exact fit... the only difference is when u take it off underneath u will see 2 little pipes that are for ventilation... on some of the older valve covers only have 1 pipe... i dont think this will make a difference... for now i have ablack classic valve cover... and i am polishing another...to replace it....
So no issues with the DI cassette? getting CEL's? This is a good sign since I have 2 covers in the garage so now I can get my cover off and polish it up and powdercoat it. Thanks for doing the research Ricot!!!
