so at this light a white boat pulls up next to me. some scruffy looking dude in the passenger seat and his scruffy wife is driving. I think it was a chrysler 300? not the new box shaped one, the one before that that looks kinda like a sebring and all the other cars they made that year.

I did not expect a race, but when the light turned green I heard tires screach and they pulled out like they were trying to teach me a lesson or something. they planned to cut me off ahead where the lanes merged. not today. the tires screaming kinda took me off guard and gave me a scare ( i was sitting there all peaceful kinda lost in thought) and by instinct I just slammed the gas pedal to the floor.

next thing I know I was holding onto the wheel for dear life (fighting the torque steer and trying not to go into their lane) as i blew past them so fast and so far so quickly....

dumb fuckers, don't mess with the automagic stage 1.

I always read these turbo stories... I think I have turbo envy... although, I'm lucky... since Saab is usually associated with turbocharging, and there are very few here (however, there are a lot of nice cars... and it is a pretty decent sized town) not a lot of people mess with me and I usually turn a lot of heads because my car is kept pretty clean.

Plus it's debadged, and a lot of the time I really take off from red lights :)

they are not slow, but it seems pretty rare for one to dyno in above 160 HP stock... pretty lame for a "250 HP" car. after a boat load of mods the guy that owns the car in the photo was at 193 FWHP, and about 200 lb/ft torque. no barn burner for sure @ 3900 lbs!... I have no doubt not only my SPG, but my SUNBIRD would take one from a light- no problem

This must be a chrylser/dodge big body sedan club or something, look in the backgroud. Looks weird to me, but then they probably would say the same to a pic from one of the saab meets.

I wonder how the story would turn out if abdukted raced a 300 hemi? That'd be interesting... :D
meh, if theyre anything like the hemi dodge ram pickups, it wouldnt be very different, gotta remember that just cause its a hemi, dont make it a fast car.

some ******* in a hemi ram learned that the hard way one day

theres a magnum wagon doing 9.8 in the quarter at my local track.... i don't know if it's modded or not. sounds stock though. the trucks ( hemi) get 10.22 in the 1/8 70.2 mph.... could be driver error ???

dude 9.8 is impossible stock if you really mean quarter mile...maybe 8th mile or it was just incredibly modded and sleeper

i agree, that there not that fast. i wonder what they get in the quarter. still good for a truck. and what the hell is a super bee (truck) rumble bee i think. isn't there a truck r/t ? a V-10 viper motored truck? i remember reading about one. at the track, any truck other then diesel, that gets under 10.00 in the 1/8th. is either a lighting, or modded truck. not too shabby for a 35000 truck

Its a Dodge Ram SRT-10. First available only in two-door, now four-door versions. It has the same V10 as in the Viper. It even says Viper on the engine.

from what a co-worker told me about the rumble bee, the only special thing is the paint, the wing, and some plaque on the dash that says limited edtion or something  gotta love mopar, theyre so damn creative.

and those turbo deisels...they can prove to be troublesome, i mean most of em have 4 rear wheels...thats alot of traction, especially nice if you have damn near 900ft/lbs

what ever you do, do not ever try to go against a black dodge ram in my town thats lifted and and a turbo diesel.I watched a 2002 corvette get its ass handed to it.lot of black smoke through...rumor has it that runs 13.48 at the 1/4.not to shabby for a 8k pound truck...
