The last thread was all over the place. So I'm starting a new one with the aim of showcasing new or in progress parts, discussing parts with you guys, and fielding questions pertaining to what we do and how we do it.

I am making a single thread in the For Sale section where I will list products as they become available. It is located:
http://www.saablink.net/forum/showthread.php?p=600203#post600203

Who we are:
2 Saab (and general automotive) gear heads who decided that we wanted to offer reasonably priced, and custom fabricated items out of carbon fiber/kevlar, and other composite materials. We are located in Houston, TX.
We can produce just about anything you want in a variety of materials.
Everything we make is made to order. If we don't have a mold produced for a product you want, get in touch with us and we'll work out a solution for your need.

Because everyone loves pictures:

Door pulls are 1/3 done. We're working on a way to easily replicate the stock mounting setup.
We have discussed some of the problems and theoretical ways to manufacture wheels. We're a long way from there right now, but maybe in a year or three.....

3-door sill plates are going to run between $115 and $130 depending on the material chosen.

whiteyfoo...when i was at tokyo auto salon this january, there was a manufacturer who had made some CF wheels. I'll dig around and get back to you if I find out more.

off topic but kinda on, a couple years back at the SEMA show I saw some CLEAR wheels.

glad to hear the hoods are coming along. I think i'll be ready to order one hopefully by summer or summer's end...

are you thinking of making a vented hood at some point? something with vents maybe above the turbo to help with cooling or around the air intake to reduce intake temps...

im not exactly sure how the aerodynamics flow over the hood and whether something like this would help or not?

if you have a hood completed, you should definitely post pictures :D

We do have a vented hood. It's KY's old EVO style vented hood. We are planning on doing our own extractor style vent just above the turbo. Very low key. We're trying to make small parts to sell and finance some of the larger planned bits. A hood mold by itself costs a couple hundred dollars.

We haven't pulled a CF hood yet. We have the materials to make 2 in stock, but we were wanting to make sure we ironed out some issues we were having before potentially ruining hundreds of dollars worth of carbon. We're now trying to finish up a few more molds and then we'll make a stock style hood.

Lend/Send us a dash. We'll make the molds.

I believe you mean the VW stuff is smooth. And tight.

I'm interested in a carbon fiber shifter for the OG9-3 and have both parts and am willing to send it for mold purposes. Mine is leather. This is the Saab UK Part. I would like to see both the front and rear parts in CF matching the dash panel.

The other part I could send is the OG9-3 Dash Panel. IDK If you have the NG900 or OG9-3 dash panel mold.

Another idea some would like is CF gauge pod or better yet an integrated pod in the dash and/or dash panel for a stock look.

Let me know.

We are going to be doing at least 1 style of 1 piece CF shifter. We're working on how to best make it right now.
The dash panel would be nice to have. PM me.
Were thinking about gauge pods and such, but want to finish up the parts we're working on first before we start a new peice.

You can swap between them. I prefer the OG93 style. Much easier to push in the Sport button. The Sport button has to have the wires cut and popped out, then reinstalled on the new shifter if it comes without it. The wires are like 22 gauge. Blue and White. Splice the wires and use some shrink tubing. Then screw it up. Has T10/T15 screw holding it together, right above the button you push in to take it out of park. Be careful you don't break the screw off or screw it right through the wires...:oops:

I did both... the same time. Good thing I don't need Sport Mode...

Whiteyfoo you have a PM.

In regards to the people requesting a roof spoiler:
Send us one. We sometimes need people to step up and make parts happen. Like the door pulls. We received a pair on loan. The parts were bumped to the front of the parts queue. Now they are well on their way to becoming reality.

Also, if someone has a parcel shelf they can essentially give to us (trade) we'd appreciate it.
