155mph and this part falls off. The one on the other side was already glued in. Now to do the same with this one.

I remember Chris mentioning he lost his grille, as well as Craig showing a pic of the same part falling as in my case.

Apparently the mirrors on a 9000 snap back against the front windows at around 160-170. Never been that high myself, so I cannot confirm.

I do know that if you are missing several under-tray bolts on a 9000 that will come flying off around 110-120mph. If you have about half of the under tray bolts it will snap out and drag at around 130mph. If you have most or all of them you're good to go.

I think champ lost a conrner light on his viggen last time we were at the track.

Definitely can confirm the importance of that under-tray...idk about the mirrors though.

According to "The fast and the furious" at about 100 mph, floorpans start being ripped from the vehicle

Well, there's no danger of that happening in my Little Red, but good to know.

Another helpful hint?

Covering the seats of a c900 convertible with towels, latching a small, wet Turbo Dog in the back seat and driving with the top down at speeds greater than 90 mph on a summer night for two hours through Connecticut and Massachusetts means you have a completely dry dog when you arrive in Boston.

Technically, nothing flew out of the car. Just a neat little fact, I think.

Not Saab related, but in HS my friend drove his 66 ford Farm truck to school. After school we ended up racing a Navigator on the highway and were flying at an indicated 97+ mph when the wiper blades flew off.

There was also a trail of hay flying off the truck at the time and whipping around in the cabin.

Its been a while so I'm not 100% sure if I'm remembering this correctly but I think the entire earth was destroyed.

Looked a lot like this but had slotted wooden sides.

In my FJ, the passenger side blade will fall off if I try using it anywhere at or above 0 mph.

i lost the little cap to the wiper arm bolt. that was near 110. but it was already loose.

i had a corner light come loose somewhere between 65-90 but that's because it had a shitty screw.

my right mirror whistles like one of the seven dwarfs above 125.

on my dad's 06 9-3ss the xm antenna on the trunk moves back about a half inch after about 15 miles at 100-110.

that's it. no pics. fail.

This is a little different, but for awhile I drove a few beater c900s and I would always set stuff down on the rear spoiler and forget. Every time though, believe it or not, the stuff on them would not fly off! This happened with sandals, shoes, even a few wrenches one time.

One time, one of my brother's friend's left a big hunting knife on the spoiler as him and my brother were hanging out in my garage by the back of the car. Early the next morning, I'm driving to work, speeding a little, and a cop comes out of nowhere and pulls me over. I'm almost late for work so I just want the cop to cut to the chase so I give him my license, registration, etc. He goes to his car, runs them, and then gets out and starts to walk to my car. As he nears the rear bumper he stops and goes to the rear center of my car. I'm like "what's this guy doing?" Moments later, he walks to my window with the gigantic hunting knife, saying "what's this?"

Suprised because I had no idea it was there, I say "That's not mine." He replies "It's not yours?" I'm like "no, i don't know who's it is..." as he looks into my car. I continue "...you can have it if you want." He says "I don't want it." I say "Neither do I." So what the cop does is take the knife and throw it deep into the woods lining the road.

Funny story, b/c I WISH that had flown off of my car. Even crazier thing was that I didn't get a ticket!

just lost my drivers side bumper extension off my 89 900S while cooking through Boston last weekend, only doing 80 or so. But to be fair its been loose for ages I guess it just couldnt take it any longer, I think im gonna do what my 86 900 bumper trims do which is screw the extensions onto the body instead of this sliding track and one screw setup.

on my recent trip to 155+, my wipers would progressively inch their way up the windshield until they got about 1/4 of the way and by that point I had started slowing down. My undershield fell off a while ago at normal speeds.
