So there's a late 80's early 90's 9000T at one of my local yards with power seats and memory - charcoal seats. Would they be hard to fit into an 86 SPG? Anyone ever try this before - what's involved? Suggestions on what to do?

yes it would!

If you had a '91, would be a cinch (seats are the same) but pretty much everything is different via the 91-93 900 / 85-98 9000 and the 79-90 900 models.

You may be able to fit the seat bottom and seatback onto your existing frame, but that's it.

heh - that's an old post  :p Those seats I think were ruined when i went back for em - someone bent the tracks and took the seat controls... so I think those are long gone ;) :? I'm still looking those for a set (FULL SET) of charcoal seats for the 86 - but money's tight right now - so the SPG is staying on hold till Summer.

I`ve fitted later seats in to my 1987 T8, the seat were from a 1990 T16
seat runners different (same seat runners as 9000)
quite a easy fit, you just need to change the runners or make a adaptor plate to fit them....
