My thread with pics of my Viggen got totally jacked with questions about my SVX. So, *here* is an SVX thread!

My SVX is a 1992 model year with 47,000 miles on it.

Here are some pics:

Only 47,000? That's phenomenal. I've always been a huge fan of the styling on this car but not a huge fan of the tranny options.

Regarding the mileage: I bought the car from the original owner. A 92 year old lady who never left her small town with it. Really. She admitted that she probably had never driven it over 50mph. I rarely drive it as I'd like to keep the mileage low.

47K on an SVX, Neat car. I bet at that mileage the tranny only needed to be replaced twice so far ;)

The former chief of the NYSOC actually used to own one he had the 5 speed swap done to. Seems pretty silly Subaru didn't offer em with that, sounded fairly straightforward.

It has the original trans, but I had to have the tailshaft housing rebuilt on it at 43k miles.

I did the 5 speed swap in my first SVX. It's probably what led to me selling it, though. I think it ruined the car. When the svx's transmission is working properly, it's a good one.

an interior shot would be good...
has any body swapped a sti drivetrain into one of these? this car never became a classic, and i think its due to the engine/tranny. i would think the car is pretty slow especially nowadays.

its a beauty especially with those rims you're rolling on it.

Nobody has swapped an STI engine into an SVX, but the transmissions have been swapped in. There have been 2 or 3 STis with SVX engines swapped into them, though. The svx's engine is a very capable engine, which I personally think is a work of art. It sings.

This SVX with the ECUTune stage 3 supercharger kit is running 12s on a 200,000 mile engine with stock internals.

Beautiful car!! I have always secretly wanted one of these!

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but what rims are those?

I have yet to see a 9-2 that I really like. Most of the time I think they are ugly...

then again, I haven't seen that many.
