Bought a Turbo X on Ebay

Picking it up this Saturday and driving it home. 6 speed manual sedan with less than 13k miles. It's going to be my wife's car for a few years and replace her A4. Once it gets closer to the end of the warranty I'll take it and see what I can get out of the engine :p. It's fun to see my wife so excited about a Saab.

They were being sold for $30k NEW about a year ago or less.

I thought these cars were more in the 40k range?
black on black... looks nice, but I sure hope the 9-3's AC is up to the task ;)
Neat, I will need a ride in it.
Jealous... I have really been wanting a TurboX lately. I still have several years to wait til I can afford one :( I'm glad it has the correct gearbox!

At least they are holding around that price... Closer to what they should've been priced at from the beginning.

Seems on par with the rest of the ones for sale out there...

Except some of those are Saab Certified...

Regardless, nice buy! I'm jealous!
Sweet deal!! Enjoy!
Heritage Saab in Morrow GA lists one at $38K .. and I've seen a few after the Spyker deal have pretty high prices.

I was shopping for an X or Aero and the dealer could not come anywhere near the price he gave wifey on her 09, 2.0 XWD during the GM blow out.

Spyker-Saab has pretty much frozen the prices. The only guy I know of that got a good deal on an Aero was a guy who beat me to it ... which I found I could not afford anyway ... because he got the hefty GM discount that was still on the table.

Be careful of those prices when you see ... $29,995 ..

It does not happen like that. You have to qualify for a series of discounts .. like military (I do/did) .. current GM owner (they verified my Corvette with my insurance company) and GM Immediate Family . . (I did not qualify).
I am very happy with the price and mileage. The hard part was finding a 6 speed sedan which wasn’t too far away. There are at most 149 in the county with that combination; I found one that was wrecked.

My wife is already asking about performance upgrades. She liked what I did to here 1.8T A4 and likes the sound of a high 300 hp Saab. It’s going to be hard to wait for the warranty to expire, I don’t think I’ll make it :)

Easy reversible mods! Tune on a separate ECU for easy swaps?
It's still a good find.

Back in Jan (before the Spyker purchase) I was looking at a GM Buyback Turbo X (M6) and it was $24,995 with 22k on the clock...

The only reason I didn't buy it was because I found my 9-5 Aero...

Saab prices have went up since then. I've spoke with a few dealers that normally stock quite a few Saabs that aren't buying them right now because of the prices.
Most used car prices have risen. Almost does not make sense in a bad economy but as a friend in a ski business said .. everyone is holding back making product.

If the manufacturers hold back in volume and people hold on to their cars .. up goes the price?

What a fantastic car. Very solid and smooth when cruising at high speed. I am surprised at the lack of wind noise. Lots of neat gadgets; rain sensors, parking assist, auto leveling lights.

Some things need improvement though. The shifter feel is unacceptable; its rubbery and the throws are very long. Looks like Genuine Saab has some fixes for it and it sounds like it will fit the Turbo X. Also, the suspension is good, but a bit soft when pushed in the turns. Needs more power and a louder exhaust, but that is easy to fix :p

I also love the location of the turbo, it will be easy to upgrade.
