an impending move is forcing me to put my loved 1999 9-5 wagon, with a manual trans for sale, it is the best daily driver ever, and i will miss it a lot. i would not hesitate to take this car cross country(car gets an easy 30+mpg), and back again, its nice enouph to impress dates, but not so nice that you worry about leaving it in a parking lot, and its fast enough to enjoy, but not so powerful that it can break itself., it also leaks/burns no fluids!!!! it really is a saab lovers wet dream

High miles, but high maintence, in the last 15k miles, here is what has been done.

-clutch (9-5 aero, brand new from dealship)
-clutch slave cyl (gen saab from dealship)
-lightened and resurfaced flywheel (about 5lbs, its the best feeling clutch you will ever drive)
-trans (arpox 120k less miles than the odometer reads, shifts -awesome)
-rear main seal
-front main seal
-t5 cams
-head gasket, and all upper end seals, and new exhaust studs, this was not out of nessicity, just as good practice when doing the timing system. Head was plained, and hotanked when removed, intake/exhaust manifold and head were also cleaned and mildly ported)
-oil pump and related gaskets
-all timing components (timing chain, balance shaft chain, and all guides, motor runs nice and quite)
-serpentine belt
-clutch line
-oil pan dropped, and all pickupe re-sealed
-new exhaust flex pipe
-t25 from NG900 installed,
-windshield
-gen saab 88 degree thermo, and NTC (coolant temp) censer
-high flow air filter, with custom up-pipe
-Front brake rotors and pads.
-full brake bleed
-bypass valve line mod
-power steering pump (used with many less miles)
-Granite Embedded AT1 aux input adapter. installed by the man himself
-stg 2 software w/open SID (no pixels/lines missing on SID)

im sure there is more, but that covers the big stuff. the car was an LPT untill around 240k miles, so alot of the parts never saw more than 6psi, for a long time, it also means there is no TCS ,or ESP, basically not much to break

Comes with snow tires/wheels, and BBS rk2 wheels, wheels could use refinishing, but tires are good snow tires have a season left.

i would like to see 2200$ (OBO, i have had much interest in the car, so if you really like it, feel free to offer more to get it, the service list is worth $$$ on this car) , this 9-5 is more solid than many cars with 1/3 the mileage (odometer currently reads around 255k miles)

Well, having ridden in the car 7 hours or so to Carlisle, I can tell you that it is in fact a great daily driver. The Mileage may be high, but there are not many original parts left on it!

I'm trying to convince my friend to buy it so i don't have to listen to him complain about his DIAPC cars screwing up all the time!

I have fond memories of driving that car to New York, actually... wish I had the cheddar to drop on it, would make a superb winter/stuff-hauling car.

I think my greatest memory of that car was falling out of it after getting lost in the ghetto.

Good luck with the sale, Mike, I'd buy it back from you in a heartbeat if I had the cash or the need.
