The battery in my 97 NG900 died. It was about 3 years old. I guess batteries last only 3 years.

Replaced it with an Optima Red Top SC34R. Started up right away.

living in florida with all that warm weather including the engine heat probably shortend the life a bit batteries like cool tempratures having cold winters in other states for part of the year helps them last 5 or more years becouse they are not in hot tempratrues year round

Old battery was a Saab maintenance free that was replaced under warranty. The car was getting harder to start - cranking slower - for a month now.

Thats a nice Optima. How does it help Audio system-wise?
