I've had my car for almost 4 years and I can't seem to remember if it ever did, but is the shifter supposed to have a light to indicate what gear you're in (i.e. at night)? Or is the only indicator during night driving on the instrument cluster?

its not hard. the shift indicator plate pops out and from there you'll see where the bulb is, and from there its just a matter of taking out the old and popin a new one in.

Thanks for the info! I didn't want to go pulling/prying pieces if I wasn't sure that it could be replaced without removing the center console. Once I pulled the shift trim off, the only hard part was actually removing the light bulb.

The bulb that was in there was a W3W so I replaced it with 2821 (the equivalent, according to AutoZone).
