CONGRATULATIONS TO
spgeebee's 1990 Saab 900 Spg Auto X Car

-Holset turbo, TC rotate manifold, EGW, red top injectors, fully ported head, 2.1 manifold
-fully stand alone Megasquirt MSnS
-innovate wide band
-SRS BSNS interior, South west speed aluminum race seat
-Custom Mahaffy Metal Works steel diff cover with transmission cooler
-Axxis ceramic brake pads
-Powerflex suspension bushings on Afco coils with adjustable rear mounts
-13X10 Aero race wheels with 10" hoosier road racing tires

How long have you owned this car?
-5 years

Is there anything unique about the history of this car?
-a friend of mine brought the car up to Mass from CT it was a decently clean car at the time. he offered to sell it to me for 2500$ i passed he ended up selling it to a non-saab guy and he unfortunealy beat on the car quite a bit. and traded it in a a local used car lot for a jeep. i saw the car at the lot sitting for a while in disrepair. i asked the owner of the lot what he wanted for it, $300 and he'll tow it to my house. sold.

Why did you choose this car to purchase?
-it was cheap, i liked the color, and it was a good replacement for my 88 spg

What other cars did you consider?
-at this time it was all saab

What was your objective with this car?
-i bought it to build a race car with

What tuning style would you describe this car as?
-race car with licence plates

Who helped you build this car?
-i've done it all on my own, moral support from my dad, and my wife

What makes your car special?
-its different whether you think of it as good different or bad, its different

What is your favorite part/feature/function?
-the tires and suspension, the car corners ridiculously hard

Who or what inspired the direction of modifications on this car?
-my fellow Autox'ers, time attack/hill climb cars

What don't you like about this car?
-FWD, rust, the fact it isnt as clean as i would like it.

What was your biggest obstacle in building this car?
-the megasquirt, iam still struggling with issues

How did you overcome the issue?
-still battling with it....

What would you change if you could?
-the transmission, FWD.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how satisfied are you with the outcome of this project?
-5 its a race car your never done changing things

What would you do to the car if money were no object?
-awd swap, big power, sequential trans, coil overs, big custom brakes

Who has been your biggest critic of this project?
-my autox times

What do your family and friends say about this car?
-they all think its strait up crazy

What is your most memorable/humorous/embarrassing moment with this car?
-any time i get pulled over and the look on the cops face is like "WTF"

Has this car competed in any events? Results?
-just the local autox events it does well for not running %100

What is your favorite place to drive this car?
-on the course

What is your ideal day with this car?
-cruising a twisty road, or racing

-just me

-"racy Tracey"

What was your previous project?
-i had a 88 spg that i retired due to rust

What is your next project?
-i want to finish my dads '63 nova, or do an E30

-all business

-thanks to the guys i race with, Saabrally.com for all the good pointers, my wife for her patience, and MikeD had a big hand in this car!

The TC rotate is a phrase that will ever live in C900 hall of fame,
Thanks for the honorable mention tom, I remeber when you wanted to make this into a drag car,, but one miata ride seamed to change everything...

good work tom, this car is sick!
