The ATQ is a great engine, really hardy. They are pretty nice cars, he's gotta keep up on maintenance though otherwise the costs can skyrocket lol. I know, because I write a few monster estimates on B5s every week lol

I get paid an hour for one of those guys haha, and there are 8 of those suckers up front. The rear end isnt too bad, but he'll need to watch out for the output shaft seals on the rear differential. Those like to leak. Other leaky spots to watch for; cam adjuster seals, and valve cover gaskets. Make sure he gets the timing belt taken care of as well. 30 valves are pretty damn expensive.

Just sold my wife's 2001 A4 1.8T. Good car; decent power (with chip) nice handling and easy enough to work on, repair cost were less than I expected. I enjoyed driving it around the Rocky Mountains and would recommend them, after a Saab of course. Replaced it with the Turbo X, it's much nicer than the A4.
