I wrapped my viggen wheels in snow tires this winter, and have fairly new summer tires waiting for some new wheels. I've already pretty much decided that i want some really clean looking "mesh" style wheels for my viggen. I'll be going with 17" because that's what my tires will fit. Here are my options...

ASA AR1: 17x7, 21.6 lbs, 40 mm offset, $134 each

Drag DR-19: 17x7.5, 27 lbs, 42 mm offset, $110 each

the weight is obviously a big deal, but looks matter somewhat. which one? ... or neither?

also... i welcome any other wheel suggestions you may have. even though i really like the mesh style im open to 5 spoke designs as well :D

I have some ASA Em-9's I need to unload. They are awesome, as new, truly, but I've got too many projects, too many wheels and I've fallen in love with a 4 lug car. They are no longer available new and better looking then anything I've seen lately... If they interest you shoot me a PM and I'll hook you up with a great deal. They are avail /w tires (2 good, 2 not as good) or no tires.

My .02... ex had the AR1's on her GTI. They look fantastic. Only problem I have, and this is in just about any of the BBS style multifork, is the lip is rather tall and makes the wheel look smaller than it actually is. These are 18's:

good news

i called tire rack and they do have 8" wide 5x110 AR1 17" wheels, they just dont list them as an option for our cars. my only question is will my 215/45-17 tires be able to fit on an 8" wide wheel? they came off my viggen wheels, so im fairly certain they can stretch the extra 1/2 inch. offset is 40 mm so i should be ok as far as rubbing goes, correct?

thanks
