Does anyone have any secrets on removing the crank pulley bolt? I cut my 27 mm about as shallow as possible and I still have trouble getting it on the bolt. I see that there looks to be a sway bar right there that would be very beneficial if removed, but I can not see the bolts and tried to put a socket on it and was not successful. I was thinking about unbolting the mounts and jacking one end of the engine/trans to gain some room. just wondering if anyone had any better ideas. Also the alternator on my had a nut on the pivot bolt that I had to remove the oil filter mount to get to. Has any one ran into that. Once again I am thankful for any help. Also if there is anyone in the indy area that would like to make some money from my ignorance and like to give me a hand feel free to contact me. thanks again

MikeD and I did it like this.

Cut down stocket to fit between firewall and crank pulley. Brace the breaker bar on passenger side fender.

Crank the engine over.

Worked great.
