just curious to see if any of the members here have any collections

i have a couple nothing crazy, just a remington model 700 30-06 and a flite king 12 ga. shotgun.

i'm not a hunter, never will be but a little target practice is always a good time.

yeah, the ammo does go fast. i like to make things interesting the last couple of times i've gone shooting i took a couple 1 liter bottles and filled them up with baking soda and vinegar, shake it up so the bottle starts to expand and then shoot it. lol it's kind of juvenile but i always get a kick out of seeing the thing explode and the bottle flying up in the air.

haha that reminds me of a couple years ago at summer camp...they had a little .22lr range, where i literally spent hours of each day. by the end of the week i had passed 2 separate NRA certifications, and i was in the top 5 scorers over the whole week. the top 10 scorers got to go to a special session where the instructor brought party poppers, cans of soda, and all sorts of other things for us to shoot. i stole a couple of my cabinmates' cans of aerosol body spray and shot them up. it was pretty cool, especially when you tie a string to the nozzle so when you shoot it it spins around in a haze of noxious fumes. i may be juvenile, but it really was loads of fun!

staying on topic though, my dad's got an over-under .22/410 shotgun, vintage Remington i believe, and then a ruger .22 rifle. myself, i like the compact tactical sidearms, when i'm done with school i'll get a nice Glock 9mm or something.

Eh...as much as I like M4's they have a max eff. range of about 600m, 550m on point targets and at that range knock down power is kinda down. Target shooting with 'em however fucking rocks.

Edit: its the 5.56 round that kinda limits range on the M4 system...high velocity plus a nice rifling ratio makes it accurate but the 128 grain round doesn't carry all that well.

M21 with ACOG, USP .45.

Oh wait, not in Call of Duty 4?

I'm shopping for my first. I'm thinking USP Compact .40.
Silenced G3 with silenced M9...Bandolier, UAV Jammer and Dead Silence.

USP .40 is pretty awesome. Very balanced for a .40. The Glock 23 I've shot felt like a toy in my hand...and I don't have huge hands.

My weapon of choice........M249 SAW. Pure destruction in a compact design.
