Guy takes his wife to the Doctor...

The Doc says, "Well, it's either Alzheimers disease or AIDS."

"What do you mean?" The guy says, "You can't tell the difference?"

"Yeah, the two look a lot alike in the early stages... Tell you what.. Drive her way out into the country, kick her out of the car, and if she finds her way back, don't fuck her."

I guess I haven't developed a sense of humor for truly obnoxious jokes and behavior esp when I have friends who are hiv + and older family friends who have alzheimers...

And no need to disrespect the gay members of the saab community which are many. This is a great inclusive group and I would hate to have it tarnished by a tackless joke...

It surprises me that you make multiple visits to this thread.

Did you find a sense of humor?[/QUOTE]

Your inability to spell withstanding, I reviewed the posts of this thread and while I concur the joke may lack tact, it is a joke (ironically) posted in the joke thread.

Those who posted in here tended to enjoy it (despite being it tackless) more than those who did not find humor in it.

The aforementioned joke is not a reflection of my personal views of AIDS or Alzheimers, which I think we can all agree are horrible and debilitating diseases, but merely a reposted joke that may or may not be considered amusing.

What I do find interesting is that you feel that AIDS and HIV are diseases that affect only the gay community:

Interesting. You seem to champion what you feel is a sizable gay community active on this forum, however the only person who has mentioned homosexuality in this thread is you.

AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is a a disease of the human immune system caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and is transmitted through direct contact of a mucous membrane or the bloodstream with a bodily fluid containing HIV, such as blood, semen, vaginal fluid, preseminal fluid, and breast milk.

This transmission can occur through anal, vaginal or oral sex, blood transfusion, contaminated hypodermic needles, exchange between mother and baby during pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding or other exposure to one of the above bodily fluids.

AIDS is not a disease exclusive to the gay community.

It affects all walks of life and no one is immune.

It is truly sickening that you attempt to call me out as degrading homosexuals when the only disparaging remarks made toward the gay community were your own when you implied AIDS was disease that unique solely to the demographic.

The only who disrespected the gay community on this forum is you with your ignorant views:

And no need to disrespect the gay members of the saab community which are many.

Wow, this quickly spiraled out of control due to two jokes... you guys need to lighten up. A joke is funny in and of itself, it's not poking fun at people.

I did. Only because you're often a smart ass and I thought you were aiming it towards me.

I lost two grandparents to it.

Fucked up to think we can put a man on the moon but we can't cure shit like this.

No money in the cure.

Did you mean to do that? :)

I actually went to an Alzheimer's fundraiser walk last Saturday, while at the same time made a couple jokes about people wandering off, forgetting why I was there, etc. It's an awful disease and it affected my grandfather, hence my participation. But pretty much anything can be laughed at.

Kinda...

Do you honestly think that Champ is the type of person to use your dead grandparents as ammo for a joke at your expense??
At the time, given the surrounding circumstances, which you weren't involved in nor am I going to discuss, yes I did think that was the case.

Context is everything. In that instance it was a misunderstanding tied to bad timing.
