Advice Needed: Exhaust Upgrade

1675 Views 14 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  seriks1
Hey guys, ok so I need some advice. I was in autozone the other day and saw some chrome exhaust tips for under $20. They weren't too flashy or anything just made it look cooler. I think it would look cool but I want some advice because I still want to keep it looking fairy Swedish and Saabish. And I don't want to look like an imbicile driving a car with a cheap exhaust upgrade that I think looks cool but will look like a ricer wannabe piece of crappy Americanized car. (enough mediphore for you?) So that's the story and I would love some feedback. Thanks!!

Save your $ for a turbo!
turbo exhaust cat back /endthread

best "power mod" ive done to my N/a along with switching to 93 octane
Yeah, when I was ur age I put a gold exhaust tip on my 84 celebrity wagon.
So your saying that I should do it Dan?
i think he's saying that when your younger somethings sound really cool to do and tastefully, but when you look back on it, it's just one big face palm......

I.E. my old car.....not proud of some of the mods haha
learned my lesson...hahaha

.....we all have had "growing pains"
Yeah, agreed. Don't waste your money man. Some things sound good when your young and then you wish you hadn't done them later...like tinting my tailights with plastic paint......seemed like a good idea at the time until i got pulle over every other week for them lol. Needless to say I'm back to normal.

Well unlike Dan mine wouldn't be gold, it would look like a chrome version of the c900 turbo exhaust tip that's what it looks like

I thought the cat looked awesome until I saw that horribly crappy interior!! Haha, even the engine painted red wasn't bad lol
Instead of a screw on tip why not hit an exhaust shop & see what they can weld on that would be hidden more up under the cars bumpser & not look like an added on tip.
That's a really good idea. Could I go to a junk yard and see if I could find a c900 turbo system and get it put on? Is it any different or does it have the same bolt pattern.
For your 91 a turbo cat back bolts right on. First thing I did to my truck (92 900 n/a auto)
