so i was taking a really good back road right next to Terwood Rd. on my way home from my Tech school today, and i have a passenger so i get going really good on this road, 1st, floor it, 2nd floor it, 3rd nail it and so on. At one point I look down and i'm doing 90mph on a road that's 25 lotta blind curves so I decided to give it a bit more. And sure enough, as soon as I hit like 95 a BRAND NEW Land Rover pulls, rather CUTS out in front of me. Now we're talking no way in hell i'm gonna be able to slow down either, i hit the brakes really firmly too - i locked up my wheels for a second lots of rubber burning i swerve into what would be oncoming traffic had there been any still at about 70mph aiming right at the woods, trees, and houses, and i whip it right around his SUV almost clipped his front end and kept goin i made sure to stay at a distance didn't wany him to get my tag # but the whole time i had it under control without any real panic. The key here was, I didn't really panic and amazingly - the Saab did maintain very well on sudden movements - as for the body roll - WOAH! lol Thank you Saab! 8)

ha ha - yeah, a law suit is all I need on my broke ass! That ass woulda had my license and my money for the rest of my life had I hit him - given I just didn't bleed to death from glass shattering everywhere - crap, I almost ruined my leather seats if that were to happened!! But it's a good thing when driving I'm rather attentive when not sleeping  8)
Also - just drove by the scene tonight - WOW lmao i layed down some THICK and long strips of rubber. Those things will be there for a few weeks lol. The one side (drivers) looks to actually go WAY left into the woods, as the passenger side one is a normal swerve pattern (yes I have normal patterns) lmao. Anyways- all I can say is I was lucky - and glad I drive a Saab.

Oh wow..you gotta watch out man.

Luckily the police don't care what happens as long as there isn't an accident ;)

Glad you made it out to drive another day.

Um, maybe you shouldn't drive like that if you can't handle the possible consequences. Sure, he "cut" you off, but if you hadn't been going 3 or 4 times the posted speed limit, would you have been in danger of hitting him?

I have an idea that would "fix" this problem. you take the VW fox, give me the 9000 and we would be good there  Takes the fox about 5 solid miles to crack 80  Won't have to worry about going much past 50-60 on turwood with that car ;)

rofl - he really did cut me off tho, i mean He coulda plainly seen me - and I was moving fast, I saw him hisitait to pull out at first (this is when i first began braking) and then he just was like - oh, ok, let me just pull out (and he did it really slow too (as if he was on the phone talking....) and then I really had to stand on it. Fucking yuppies - think they can just pull out any time   But yeah - I'll be slowing things down for a bit now, good thing I had just bled my brakes 8) and tightened my caliper. And Jeff - I don't drive the VW for MANY reasons. That is the emergency back-up car for now - till June anyways. Only reason why it still runs is cause it's a low mileage VW :p

Sheeeoot, take it easy man, we cant very well share stories with a pancake.

Your car has nut, but use it to get you OUT of situations, not into them.

Even though he cut you off, you still would've been at fault if you ran into him. That's just how it works  Authorities think that you should "be traveling at a safe speed" so if anything "cuts you off" or happens abruptly you can avoid an accident lol.

Some laws are kinda odd. Like my mother was at fault for hitting this lady, although as she was backing out, this other lady ignored her lights and tried to drive pass.

Would not have been your fault. In PA, if you pull out on front of someone, it's called "failure to yeild". Still though, questions would have been asked with 80 foot skidmarked

Automotive Technology! I'm the top student for the department, the student rep on the advisory commity, and much more. In short - I'm serious about what I do. I love doing it and want to learn more! I'll be starting work in 2/3 weeks at a local shop who i've learned is very well known, and has a very good reputation. TEC ONE he's a 3 bay - 2 lift foreign car specialist basically - and he's into Saabs! lol
