Just checked the tires on the SE vert. Nasty blister on the inside sidewall of the front passenger side. Well, I have a set of winters on SPG wheels I can put on it, and had been planning on refinishing the Aero's this winter anyway. So now I've got 5-spoke 9-5 Aero's and 3-spoke 9000 Aero wheels needing refinishing. I guess I have a fall/winter project.

Looks like Pirelli P-Zero Nero's are NLA now for the 205/45-16's. Choices are getting prety slim for that size now. WHat to get, what to get...

never a fan of those nero's anyways.... kinda like the old P6000's, to me they didn't do anything right.

I had better luck with the rosso's....... looking forward to what pirelli does with the technology they gain from being the F1 tire supplier

Problem is I'm not finding anything that size from Pirelli. Seems they're moving on to more modern wheel sizes.

yea, always been a kinda oddball size.... slightly better luck with a 50 series however as you know more chance of some rubbing.......

Seems like even 17's are small ......

Frustrating to know few cater to older classic cars. Wonder if I should start looking at Coker knock-offs -- if they have them that is...

Or Continentals. Know nothing about them. Local BMW and Porsche indie says they suck, so I'm hesitant to touch them.

You can get Bridgestone Potenzas and Dunlop Dirrezas in that size.

Since it's lowered I wouldn't go with the 50 sidewall. I did and now I need rear spring spacers.

some conti's are great actually.... just depends on which tire

I have direzza's on my viggen & sticky they are & they also get VERY noisy. Thus.... this is my first and last set of these tires...... I would suggest them as a track tire, cheap & relatively sticky & noise doesn't really matter.

even in the 80's & 90's 205-45's was a not-so-common size thus no need for the size to be very common among manufacturers today. I always thought it was funny how I had a lot more rubbing with 205-50-16's vs 225-40-18's...... miss the C900 days :(

No plans to go 50. Sticking with 45's.

It is getting tough to find a good tire in a smaller size, Miata and VW GTI guys are pissed because they all need higher performance 14-15in wheel, tire sizes, and the options just are not there anymore!

just for the records, i had P-zero nero all season and i loved them, they were very comfortable in 35 and 40 profile, and performed flawlessly under hard driving.
