I know alot of people get rid of the heatshield/noise deadening fabric thats attached to the hood of the car. Probably doesnt weigh more then 10 pounds but yeah.. its something right?

it only weighs a couple of pounds and made the paint crack on two of my hoods without the car over heating. Just a FYI

or people with brains and value there life ;)
I'm still alive and doing just fine. My camaro has the front bumper support removed as well for the past 4 years and its fine also. My rear bumper support is still there since my fuel pump is mounder under the rear bumper.
Most of the imports you see with bodykits dont have bumpersupports either, just gotta be cerful thats all.

well you can only be so careful, and im guessing you never wrecked your 9000 without them. It could mean getting hurt, or not.

well just because somone decides to do it you cant just go calling them stupid left and right, unless you want to call the rest of the people stupid that do it, hundreds of thousands of people. But i guess everyone has their own opinion, i wont do it to my aero but if i had a car that i was serious about going fast with i would def do it.weight=free HP

im not callin you stupid directly. I think the idea is stupid unless its a race car with other means of protection installed in it (like roll cages or somethin)

Race car with roll cages, no prob....take off as much as you want that's not struturally important.

On a street car, I'd be very reluctant to take out a federally required safety structure.

Just sayin....

I like speed as much as the next person, but....

thanks mike ;)

its lighter. Thats what im using on my CF hood when it gets here and painted.

CF isnt for the looks nate, and its not getting completely painted ;)

and its not going to be $800.

see the thing is i needed a new hood anyways, couldnt find a good dent free hood locally (or for that fact pretty much in the US) and new ones are like $500. and the only good used hood i found was red and they wanted $400 for it. So this for me is a deal.

eh nates just mad i might paint the hood ;) jk . i might though. still deciding.
