Has anyone done it? I think it would be a nice upgrade! Granted the buttons wouldnt work and the airbag may not (mine dont anyway), but my steering wheel is showing its age and I love the OEM look

Damn... I was thinking about replacing my steering wheel too. Lots of the leather is worn away.

Anyone done a aftermarket steering wheel on their 9000? I want to do a Momo one on mine and install a glove box but I heard that the SRS won't function properly with them both gone. So that means I won't have functioning seatbelt tensioners right? I don't want to lose them.

I dont know what happens when both air bags are removed but I do know if you want an aftermarket wheel you will have to swap the column to a pre air bag 9k I think its 89 and older

i'll have to look for more info on the adapter...but its a stock steering col. but you have to order the adapter for an older 9k but you have to remove or modify the pin for the turn signal cancellation if removed you kill the signals manually...i'm trying to remember where i ordered the hub but it may have even been a trip to the local pep boys and special order it ...it may help if you do some research to come up with the part number due to it being a custom application...going out right now to round up info (brand-part number-pics)....i hope this helps a little
