Being driven by Mark Mitchell, owner of the Mitchell auto group (incl. mitchell saab). Nice car, silver, looked great in person. I'd love to take it for a spin; hopefully the company sticks around to produce more than the 500 or so they have...

I live on the very end of wells, white house w/columns right near the 4-way stop at wells/east st. Usually in my vig (not to be confused with the other *absolutely spanked* LB Vig in town, license plates BLURKT), and my wife has a black 9-3 aero wagon.

I've seen that 9-4x rolling through downtown Simsbury a few times. Looks very clean in person. I saw one without dealer plates the other day too.

Gauges and controls are all the exact same as the new 9-5, which, yes, was GM at heart, but from what I've read and from driving both vehicles, the 9-4x knocks the SRX out of the park. 9-5 was a great car as well, but a little too big and quiet for my liking. Give me a wagon with a stick and decent power and we'll talk.

Just to update this topic, I'll mention that since I started working at the Mitchell Auto Group, I've spent over 10 hours using the 9-4x.

It has a great ride, although a little firm. Build quality is great, but not excellent. Bose sucks. Steering is pretty bad too. It's overly firm all the time, and not in a good way like my bmw. Also power delivery is poor compared to pretty much anything else in the same class. The media center is very nice, and so is the panoramic sunroof.

We've taken it off the market for now because everyone who inquires about it tries to offer less than 30 thousand...the sticker is 52. Instead of taking a loss, Mr. Mitchell prefers to keep it for himself. Too bad it didn't start at 30 in the first place.

Aside from the negative things I mentioned, it's really a nice car and isn't "junk." On top of that, I find it to be one of the best looking cars on the road, so I would have to give it a thumbs-up.
