auto or 5spd for the radiator?

Sorry to threadjack, but what is the difference b/w a radiator for an auto or manual?

 

Ports for tranny cooler lines.. But I used an auto rad in my manual NG and it was fine

 

how'd you plug the lines? I ran into this in my 9k radiator swap.

 

You don't need to plug the lines

 

X2, no need to plug.. Coolant and atf wouldn't mix too well so they're separated somehow

 

So I can or can't use one from a manual?

 

If you have an auto, you need an auto radiator

If you have a manual, you can use either

I learned this the hard way when I tried to use a radiator from a N/A NG 5spd on my brother's auto, turbo, 9-3. I thought those were cooling lines, and you couldn't swap turbo to non-turbo radiators. I never investigated, turns out its the trans, not eng that makes the difference.

Can I use an exhaust manifold from a '96 900 SE? Or will it not fit?
