looks like a good starting point. hopefully, you swap it back to the proper front end, though. i much prefer the prefacelift.

Last season was my first hill climb season, I did Burke and Okemo.
Okemo has a hill climb now? I used to race my 1980 900 Turbo up that mountain all the time back in 1990/1991 when I lived in Ludlow. I miss those roads but racing around the lakes there in town was better :D

Yeah, hillclimb.org for anyone interested. There are events at Burke, Okemo, Ascutney and Philo. It would be sweet to see a few more saabs.

You must recognize this road then!!! I drive the road from Claremont to Poultney, VT every week due to my gf living in Poultney. My Saab run that I am planning this year will actually be on 131 for some of it. ;)

I took this picture in the fall on Rte 131 on the way to Ludlow.

i was checking this out the other day and iam seriously considering it my N/a 4dr would rip it up.

what would you want for that erebuni kit? i just want the front bumper, but is it a complete kit it would go good on the race car...

I spy an erebuni kit... I've heard horror stories of getting those things to fit properly. Hopefully you won't have to much of a hard time!

Anyways, it looks to be a solid buy for the price it was listed for. The body looks to be relatively solid from the pictures with only a little minor surface rust (that I can see anyways). Also, did you disconnect all of the stuff in the engine bay, or was it like that?

Also, so that was YOU in the Burke hill climb video I was watching on youtube. I was wondering whose 9k Aero that was! Ever been to the Mt. Ascutney hill climb? Most of the cars in the Burke video go to the Ascutney one as well. Some of them are actually from Claremont ;).
I'd like to watch that video on YouTube, could you send me a link Zach?

I wanted to buy this car but I guess by the time I saw it on craigslist you already had it

Being at school I havn't had a chance to work on this much yet. I also took what carpet was left out, and got most of the sound deadening material scrapped out of the interior. The next step is going to be to pull the motor. I have a spare tranny from a 92', so the plan is to use that case with its stronger pinion bearing housing and the gears from the tranny thats in the car. I also have a saabrally.com steel diff cover to put on. I am also planning on pulling the head off the motor to see what shape it is in. Depending on what I find, ill either put it back together, or use a spare motor I have. I also had a chance to organize the spare saab parts I have, in that collection I found, map sensor, AIC, APC Valve, DI, O2 sensor, 9000 injectors, all good stuff for the T5 conversion. Pics to come once more work gets done.

really likeing the hardware list with the car,, its always nice knowing that yourbuying a car with $1500 + of aftermarket goodies already installed.

if you need a hand with the T5 junk just post on here, or PM me,
mike

I think hes a TA, or grad student or something. Last year I saw him parked in the red lot next to the studio arts building.

Had a boost gauge on his dash, Left him a note. Next day i see it, boost gauge was gone.lol

Got a chance to work on this for a couple hours today. I pulled out the intercooler piping I had put in, pulled the wiring harness off the motor, unbolted the DP and pulled out the clutch. Also did a compression test because Ive noticed oil seeping out from between the turbo and the manifold. The results were 160, 165, 165, 170. I first noticed the oil after I had it sort of running, (sounded like a tractor and it needed throttle to stay running, kind of sounded like it was running on 3) The turbo appears to be okay. (Intake side is clean, no shaft play) Ill investigate the engine more after I pull it out to fix the transmission. If it ends up being bad, I do have a good spare motor.
