3" Downpipe or New Snows?

Tough decision. Do I go for the 3" Downpipe to hit Stage 3 Nordic sooner, or do I buy new snow rubber for my 15" steelies?

Fronts: Blizzaks with about 3mm tread left.
Rears: 1 new walmart all season tire, 1 blizzak with 1mm tread left.

I'm most likely not going to make it to the Keweenaw rally this weekend, as I really should pay my $500 car insurance payment, and my $142 speeding ticket.

I'm fairly certain my current tires will survive until the March 17th Ides of March rally (mud & snow) and having bald rears will make the rally all that more fun.

If I can hold of on new snow tires until next fall, then I can get a 3" downpipe and be Nordic Stage 3 by April :)

Oh, and my 17" fondmetals finally shipped, and should be here by the end of the week. That means I also have 4 tires to buy for those as well come April.

JK made my exhaust too and did a good job and im sure he is better at welding now too.

fuck new snows, you can only use those like 5-6 months out of the year.

JK welded up a DP for me too...Aluminized...he can't do SS until he gets a new welder. Aluminized has held up well...we have a lot of salt on the roads here in NY, it still looks fine. This summer I might take it out and get it coated though to keep it looking new.

He did a fine job and even with shipping he was cheaper than anyone else. I'd highly recommend going with JK if he's not too busy at the mo.

Well, i just PM'ed Jessop telling him I want a 3" DP with the Stainles flex tubing, without a Cat. :)

I won't have any problems running a Nordic Tune without a Cat will I?

Also I'm hoping I can get this done/installed before the Neuwerks Winter Escape on March 10th. If not, oh well. In any case, the DP is ordered! :)
