Are Klingons 7.5" wide? If so, I say nay.
Even if 8" wide you will have some stretch going on me thinks.

Look up the spec of the tire on the manufacturers website. They usually list optimal rim size.

I'd be more worried about rubbing.

 

They are 7.5" wide. I had 225/45 17 rubber on an 8" Tim and the sidewall was flat. It would be pushing I think in the Klingons. But I as srp said, I'd be more worried about the rubbing.

 

there is no way those are going to fit without rubbing if you are running anything other than stock suspension, and i'd say it's iffy even with stock suspension.

 

 

Saw one of these parked outside of my house, subaru got it right with this car.

 

They will rub. I had a set of winters of that size that came on a set of rims i bought . They were originally from a 9-5 but rubbed on my 9-3.

 

225/45r17 on the rear was pretty tight. I sort of figured 245 would be really really tight if they would even fit on klingons.

Was worth asking.

 

Also, stock springs all around.

 

Where would it rub in the rear, inner fender? You could always throw on a set of spacers. I still have to put on the 20mm set I picked up from someone here and see if I like em...

Spacers would work... I bet it would clear in the front if they can get on the rim. Rear inside is where I have been dang close.

Those should be fine. You're speedo will be a little off as they are a taller sidewall than spec.

 

I ran 235/40/17s on my Klingson on my 00 9-3

 

I may end up with a pair of 225/50r17 due to a long story about a junk yard, wrong part, and no returns except for credit.

 

just for the record, klingons are 17x7 rims and the stock tires are 225/45/17
