New thread, just about pics, not about my finances, YAY! I got an amazing deal on the car though.

Camera phone pics, all I have for now.
I has it.

Pictures are not kind to this car. It looks far better in person. The interior of this car would not be out of place in an Audi costing twice as much.

Dual 12 way power heated seats with full lumbar control and drivers memory....standard. Crazy. This car does not have a single option on it.

I am taking it on a nice long drive to PA tmro. So far I am impressed. It is uber comfy, very easy to speed in. 100mph feels quieter and smoother than 70.

It is not as heavy as it could be, its 3300lbs. The GTI 5dr was only about 120-140lbs less. VW claims the same 0-60 for both cars in fact.

The 2.0T does sound like a tractor at low revs, I think due to the direct injection. Once moving it sounds quite good.

Tq steer is not bad at all, pretty planted at take off. The steering is a bit overboosted at low speeds and feel is not a strong point but it is not a sports car. Overall handling, braking, acceleration are all VERY good. The trunk is huge, I could fit 6 dead whores in it.

I am very happy. My wife was even excited and would ask me to drive by slow because she thought the car was that hot. Lets just say I never wanted to show the Jetta off to anyone.

i've got to drive a couple of these when they started showing up to our dealership and i just love the seats in them! we get nothing but positive feedback on them. and they're built so solid. i could open and close the doors all day in one!

150 miles today. The seats are great, no lower back pain as compared to the Jetta which had no lumbar support.

I averaged a mix of 29mpg with a fair bit of booting it and shifting by 5k(no redline till its broken in). I saw high 30's at 70mph on the highway.

Very happy with it.

Yeah, the bulbous tails are the most unflattering thing about the car.

It looks nicer than the Passat, really doesn't cost more, and remember, there is NO more Passat 6mt for 09+. So it's CC Sport or nothing if you want 3 pedals.

sweet ride, no doubt. its incredible that the cost is so competitive. the seats are fantastic. and i love how the doors close with a similar-to-9000cse thunk. it looks like a $40k car.

what was the deal like? if it was close to my shitty scion i will probably shoot myself (or go return the scion).

The deal was rockin'. This is not a Saab, there are not thousands and thousands to be had off. They sold 3-4 the day I was there, the selection of 6mt's was dwindling down so I am glad I did not wait.

The car was about $28.900k, I got it for $24,500 and had them pay off the last 8 payments on the Jetta. I also jew-guilted them into throwing in Monster Mats when they miscalcuted my sales tax making the payments a bit more than we had agreed lol.

I am really happy with everything. I was not going to walk out of there doing any better. Right off the bat, my sales tax is 8.75% ftl.

Yeah, $299 a month, it came out a couple of dollars over due to tax being 1% higher than they thought, so they gave me the mats, making them the worlds most expensive floor mats lol.

So it is back in NY now. Still the same tank of gas, mixed I am averaging 31.7mpg even with bursts of wot now and then. I keep finding things the car does, like the passenger side mirror tilts down when in reverse.

But I am surprised, this has me rethinking the place of the Viggen, something you had mentioned.

This car is better than I thought it would be. I think I should pay it off in full. I can have it make the same power as the Viggen for $1000 and the chassis is so much better and no tq steer, just a set of Koni's and swaybars and it will outhandle it. So once the CC is paid for I will see about selling the Viggen. Then, I will look for a car completely different, no FWD, no 4drs, my ELISE. It will make the best sense. I don't see a point to the Viggen in the drive way with a tuned CC as a DD and a car as purpose built as can Elise that can take it's place.

If in a couple of years the Viggen is only worth $5-6k, yeah I will still probably keep it.

I already looked, that is what has made me re-think the Viggen in terms of my plans of adding an Elise.

The CC is about as fast as the Viggen was stock. For about $1000 or less I can make it as fast as the Viggen is now. The handling stock to stock, lets not go there. I feel like it would take $1000 to outhandle the Vig currently.

So why not make the CC a DD that is as quick, handles as well, and has 4 proper doors, then replace the Vig with an Elise. There I would have two car, very different personalities.

The only hold back is the value of the Viggen. If it is tooo low, I don't know if it would still be worth selling.
