16v exhaust clips??
anyone got any sound clips of a N/A 16v with an exhaust? i got a turbo exhaust i was thinking od putting it on my N/A with a cherry bomb in place of the muffler and iam debating to delete or keep the cat. input? i want some sound but if its going to make me cringe every time i hit it iam not going to bother

There is a guy locally who has a 16v notchback with a MSS header and turbo exhaust. Not sure if he has a cat or not, but the car sounds wicked! No sound clip, sorry!
I have the same thing on my 90 900S. it had no exhaust from the catback, so I bought a turbo exhaust from eeuro, cut the cat off, used a reducer, and had it welded. Sounds awesome. VERY loud with an awesome tone.Mike D says that his old black N/A vert sounded great with no cat and a turbo exhaust.

Delorean's old "guru" car sounded pretty good with a straight through type muffler, no cat. It was a laugh riot.
We had an '86 900S with a glasspack in the rear and we kept the cat. It was annoying enough (a lot of flat "blat") that I wouldn't do it again. I've run turbo exhausts on N/As and that works out pretty well (as Zach has shown)

yea, turbo exhaust dont have alot of sound dampening,, a cherry bomb glass pack does about as much as an OEM turbo muffler...
they sound great on the Nas,, and the 2.1's crackle a shiton
