Need the car gone. The problem was narrowed down to something in the head. It will most likely need a new head gasket along with whatever is damaged mechanically. Loud tapping noise from the the engine, but not loud enough for a rod/piston to be making it.

The junkyard quoted around $1000 for the car so if you can beat that it is yours.

 

In New England this would be gone in minutes.

still kinda tempting, it would probably cost 800 to have it shipped, and i could pop a refreshed motor in for 500 my cost.... all and all a rust free, southern aero for 2500 with a freshened motor,,, not a bad deal

 

$800 shipped for a RUNNING car. When you tell a shipping company that the car needs to get dragged on and off a carrier, at LEAST double the price.

I drove a 9-5 with a bent rod about 40 miles once. It was not fun. Felt like it was going to explode in my lap. When I got it home it wouldn't start again.

I just don't get it. I tried to purchase this car when it was first put up for sale on the forum and the owner didn't take my offer......which was $1300 more than what they're asking for now.

 

If I had 20$ for every offer that seemed too low and I had turned down to later regret... I could both buy this car AND ship it!

Having a dead car greet you when you walk out everday eventually takes a toll on a seller

 

i did put an 06 engine in an 01 aero, no sludging on those..., this will be a nice car after its done..., if i would have time to do the engine i would buy it...

This is a screaming deal, even if you have to ship it! You could realistically have a (what seems to be) good condition 9-5 aero for only a few grand.

If I was in the market for a 9-5, I would have it already!

 

I second that. If I really needed any car at all right now this is what I would go for. I think people overestimate the cost of shipping it.

I would personally recommend acquiring a trailer from someone and picking it up and driving it back. Having it shipped can be a little ridiculously overpriced.

95arc - Sorry about not taking your offer before. I was planning on fixing it but now I am getting ready to move in a couple of months and I can't afford to take it with me.

 

It's all good. I wish I had the cash now cuz I'd still buy it lol
