The tires are a 205/55/16. It's too big for the rear if I put the Intrax in.

I'm going with 45 series when I get new tires.

I used Duplicolor graphite paint, and lotsa polishing junk on the "lips". I used a drill, 4 differenct cutting compunds, and it took forever.

Thanks everyone!

thats hawt...
how are the brakes??
The first time I was out driving around I thought the pads sucked ass. Kinda squeaky, and did not work all that great. Basically, it felt like the stock brakes, with less shaking. Then I put about 100 miles or so on them, and got them nice and hot on an exit ramp one day. I hit the next light (while the pads were still hot), and pressed the brakes like I usually do. When the wheels locked up, and all the stuff on the seat went flying onto the floor, I realised that they work pretty good.

eww michelin energys...

otherwise sweet, 50 series should be fine, 55 works depending on the specific tire since they vary a bit from manufacturer to manufacturer, the air assist springs in the back help a lot.

did ya tire shine the bumpers? ive found thats the best way to make em look all nice and shiny.

Looks great. How long did it take?
I think time spent on this wheel was about 4/5 hours total. This was the first one, so the next 3 will be much eaiser. Now that I have the "system" figured out. The silver areas on these was in rough shape. The clearcoat peeled off/bubbled up, and started to corrode, then a grinder of somekind was used to try and fix it. Most of the work was getting the finish even. They are still far from perfect, but they look about eleventybillion times better now.

Taping took about 20 minutes, and painting took 40 minutes or so. I used a heat gun to speed things along.
