Price: $3000 OBRO. Had this listed locally for higher with a couple bites but no follow through. Considering all serious offers...
Description: 1983 Saab 900 base, 8-valve motor, 5 speed transmission, almost 165000 miles. I bought it off the original owner back in Aug. 2010. It's been a fun little car and I know I'll regret selling it down the road, but I need money for some medical bills and projects around the house. I just don't have the time to enjoy it the way I (or you) should. I've had a blast with this car! It looks unique and sounds great. Turns heads around town and I always have people coming up to me reminiscing about their past experiences with classic Saabs.
Maintenance upon purchase:
-Rear pads, rotors, calipers
-Fuel Accumulator
-Plugs, Wires, Cap, and Rotor
-Clutch work (cable adjustment and resurface fw iirc)
-Drive Belts
Maintenance over the years:
-OEM Shocks and Kilen Sport springs
-Rota RB 15x7 4x108 w/ Motorsport Tec adaptors
-Positive Battery Cable and battery (2012)
-Oil Pressure Switch, Cold Start Valve, T-Stat, Air Filter
-Regular Oil/Filter changes + gear oil (all synthetic)
Interior Condition:
-Seats and carpets in great shape with some wear on drivers floor mat
-All lights/gauges in dash work; odometer works
-No headliner fabric; previous owner tore it out
-Cracks in dash as expected, but it's not turning inside out...
-Has aftermarket radio installed from '90s. Speakers work alright for their vintage.
-All windows and locks work, though the driver's lock cylinder gets a little sticky when below freezing.
Exterior Condition:
-Paint is OK. Shines up nice after detail, but has small imperfections from being a shelf in the PO's garage for a while
-Rust spot on LF fender above wheel arch and on gas cap
-Plastic trim and bumpers in great shape
-Glass is good all around
-All lights work; small crack in rear brake light lens though no moisture gets in
Small oil leak and P/S fluid leak.
Comes with extra set of stock steel wheels and MasterCraft all seasons and a couple other small parts.
Great opportunity to own a classic! Definitely don't see too many of this body style around... After this weekend it'll probably go on CL. Jump on it now!
Pictures: Link to full album (I'll try to get sunny day pictures whenever the sun comes out...)
