This is coming along nicely, It's nice to see these cars being thoroughly gone through and restored.

hey Brian. look into nickel copper brake lines. they will outlast the car. never will have to replace them again. also bend to fit a hell of a lot easier ;)
Hey thanks jimmy these do look real nice but I think it's a little to late for me to redo all the lines BUT if any of them do go its nice to know these are around and easy to work with.

Thanks everyone again hearing all the nice things you guys have to say really does help keep me motivated alot :)

So as for now I'm waiting on a few parts from eEuro and that stainless 3" exhaust from GS but its out of stock till the end of the week BOOO

Also (ill get a picture later) but I have a slight problem with my front control bushings. I put poly front control arm bushings in them but now I can't get my support sleeves to lines up with the bolts. So I guess what I'm asking is do I really need them? I looked at Steve's (numbers) old aero and all of his are gone and he never had any problems that I could think of..?

I'm thinking about running it like how it's pictures with one in and the other used as sort of a spacer. Like I said earlier though my brother ran with all four missing without a problem. Unless anyone can think of a way of adjusting those poly bushings so they fit in more?

Cleaned out the house and replaced the blower motor and flappers

Anyone who is thinking about doing this, a heat gun is your best friend. I had to take apart my brothers old one to replace the old plastic I broke oops

So I wanted to see how the Carlsson Wing looked and make sure there wouldn't be any problems installing it but suprise suprise it doesn't fit like I want it to. Looks like holes will have to be drilled.

It hangs off about 1 inch when placed in the pre drilled spots. I'm thinking that having a saab dealer do it would be the best idea as I'm not overly comfortable with drilling into my car like that.

I bet $933 that the guy at the saab dealer has never drilled into a hatch to mount a spoiler either.

Carefully mark where you want it.

Carefully drill it.

Mount spoiler and save your money. It ain't rocket science.

Yeah, fug the dealer... they will look at you funny and probably charge you $933!

I have some little jig/template things I can get down to you some time. You lightly tape them into the holes on the spoiler, set the spoiler on the car, then firmly tape these guys to the car so when you pull the spoiler off they stay in place. Then just drill through the holes in those. Viola! They work the tits. We used them when we mounted the spoiler on my wagon. Trust me I was just as scared as you about drilling into the hatch.

Remember Brian... Cark is the one who put together the other carlsson Car i had ;) and it looked tits... just install it as intended and you can't go wrong...

Cark, Also I still have your lobster license plate. will have to find some time at some point to finally meet up so i can give you the plates and finally see the 900 in person ;)

^Thanks, I always thought that car looked pretty damn good going down the road despite the mismatched black bumpers and the rattled canned side skirts! No clue what ever happened to that thing eh?

And great on the plate! My lady loves the old license plates and has them lining one wall of the living room!

Also worth nothing Brian, my Carlsson spoiler (granted it was an erebuni replica) only got mounted on the outer ends of the wing, with 2 screws each side. Nothing got drilled or screwed to the middle 2 "prongs", they kind of just hovered there... If I had it to do over again I would at least put some double sided tape in for the middle two to fill any tiny gap, but not sure it would make a difference either way?

If I were in your shoes I would do this. Put down 4" painters tape where you think the mounting points will be. Be liberal. A 6x6 square per mounting point? Get a dry erase marker, put the spoiler where you want it then have someone hold it while you outline the ribs of the spoiler on the hatch. Remove spoiler leaving the location of the ribs marked.
Using your best judgement, look at each mounting point and mark the location of the screw hole. It it's in the center of the mount mark it. If it's skewed to the front or rear, left or right, mark it. When they are marked and your confidence is good you have it right, drill.

Ya you guys make a good point fuck the dealer I can do it! Cark I only have the studs in the middle will that tool thing you mentioned still work? AlSO I figured out how to make the front bushing supports work. I had to basically put the whole thing I'm a vice to compress it and put the bolt in-reverse.
