Pretty interesting.

interesting concept, uses compressed air they said, so i would assume the picture is actually being reflected on the moisture thats forced out of the compressed air, so (in theory) it doesnt work in dry areas like the southwest

Thats pretty cool. It looks like they just hook a compressor up and regulate the amount of air passing over where the image is being projected. I wonder if it would look better with a different kind of gas....

Once they figure out how to steady the stream of air then it will look perfect. Biggest problem is that because it is used by air I imagine that everyone has to be perfectly still, no fans, ect. The problem only amplifies when you get up to bigger displays. They could put up panels of glass all around to steady the stream and stop other air flow from disrupting the picture.

Doesn't this remind you guys of doom, you get up close to the guy and hes 2-d or in Duke Nukem 3D you go around plants and shit and they are flat.

the only way them could steady the air would be to put it into an enclosed container. if they do that, why not just run a "silverscreen" from the 50's? probably would work better.

it is cool for sure, but in reality it's just not something anyone could need.

I like how they seem to have engineered the idea from the 3D projectors from starwars. They just need to have the projector be a working R2D2 and I'll put my order in :-D
