T5Suite Hardware and Software for WASSAAB?

Floating up a trail balloon to see if there is interest in getting the hardware and downloading the SW on the appropriate machine to run the T5Suite as a WASSAAB activity?

The T5suite is an useful for upgrading T5 ECUs, such as found in the MY 1994-2000 (9000, NG 900, some 9-3s). For additional information see:

T5Suite

ecuproject

As the second effort, any interest in wideband or Canbus/data logging (http://www.canusb.com/)

Might be helpful for dyno testing and data logging.

--Oliversexpedition

PS: There is work on T7 on the ecuproject site.

I'm interested. I think it would be good to have test hardware / software available to members.

If it means spending some of wassaabs bankroll, I'm all for it too.

Finally! Something that would be worth bankrolling. I think that it would be a great idea.

Anyone else think that a club T5Suite is good/bad Idea?

Anyone else think that a club T5Suite is good or bad idea? Anyone have an old laptop that they want to donate? Especially if it runs Win 98, USB connectors or should be throw that in with the buy?

Anyone have a preference/Bill of Materials (BoM) for the best USB and data logging items with prices and ordering info so that we can get funds allocated?

I've been playing with T5Suite for some time now - you can make it as easy or as complicated as you want. I have a second ECU that I'm using as a test mule at this point. I have all the software loaded on my home computer, so I'll need to pick up a laptop - I'll be in temp housing from 22 Sept through when we buy a house and move to the area. My spare ECU is currently set up for a 95 Aero running stage 2 - I want to replace my clutch before I get too crazy with this .........

Do you have any of the headers? I can bring a laptop and have a spare ECU for programming purposes.

Not the infamous item made by BF Chuck ( still waiting on mine ........) It's a type of connector with male pins on both ends - one side is soldered to a pad on the circuit board. the other end is used to connect to a cable ( for our purpose, the BDM connector).
If you've ever swapped out boards on a computer, and had to unplug connectors - the section of the connector with the pins staring up at you is the header.

Ordered BDM cable and 15V Power supply

I went ahead and ordered the BDM cable out of Germany and a 15 V Power supply off EBay. Don't know if they will get here on time, but will have other options once LarryM enlightens us.

A question - how many of us are actively using T5Suite ? I've been playing with it every chance I get, there's a hell of a lot to learn from EcuProject and the T5Suite site. I'm using the PeMicro interface with a regulated power supply and correct ECU harness connector (working on getting a second one). Any interest in a tuning meeting ? In reality, the most difficult part can be removing the lacquer from the board to solder on the header. And I just ordered another dozen headers .......
The T7 BCV mod works really well !

I'd definitely be down to check it out at a meeting, but I really have no use for the software myself right now.
