Junkyard Run Sunday?

Anyone interested in going up to Crazy Ray's with me tomorrow? I'm game to hit more than one location, probably starting with Jessup and then going out to the one I believe off 695 that is spacious.

Had a somewhat fruitful day at the two locations. As usual most of the cars at Jessup were picked over by the ebay reseller types and silver spring/tacoma park scum. I swear you'd have to show up right as they are bringing a c900 into the lot to get a good set of headlights.

Anyway, here is a rough rundown of what they had:

Jessup - a ton of SAABs. Maybe 4-5 NG900s/OG9-3's, looked somewhat picked over but I didn't bother looking closely. 2 9-5s, both fairly picked looking. 1 9000, in decent state, imola red w/tan cloth. Pulled the DIC from that for Frank. 3 c900s, a 93 4 door with awesome blue paint but unfortunately the victim of a minor engine fire. There was an old 8 valve with a mostly intact looking engine, and another later model c900, it might have been an n/a vert.

Off 695 - As usual this yard delivers. It's just so much nicer than Jessup, the staff is better, it's more spread out, and there are fewer people. I would stop going to Jessup if it weren't on the way to the other yards. Anyway...the real gems here were 2 9-5s, one of which looked to be a fresh kill. Even had a nice woodgrain dash insert. Super clean car, although someone was taking something off the bottom of it when I was there. The other 9-5 was more picked over looking. There were a couple of NG/OG types that I didn't really look at, no 9000s, an 86 I believe c900, and a '90 turbo vert that I took the radiator support and fuel level sender from.

You go up I95, take 695 to the east (right side exit, may be called north or something), then take that for a while until you cross the big bridge, then go a bit and it is the last exit before the toll. Don't remember the name. You go down the hill, take a right at the gas station, and it's on the left. Hard to miss.

Looks like that may also be a Crazy Ray's, according to the map.

Yes, there are 4 locations. They have a website you can check out too.

Hey Jack - on the 9-5s you saw, did you happen to notice if the door light housings were still there/intact?

I need the door light for the right rear (passenger) door - the one that goes on the bottom of the door panel.

It is number 14 here:

Sorry but I did not notice - didn't look too closely at anything but the c900s and the 9000. It's possible they still are there, but I don't know.

I will let you know.

It looks like I will hit at least 4 out of the 5 locations of Crazy Ray's. If I really get motivated, I will hit the 5th location.
