Winter GTG?

With the mad rush for the holidays now over, do we want to do a get together?

I've been hoping/trying to set up a tech session on brakes, with no success -- parts are slow getting in for the subject car in question (Bux, if you get your brake parts together, let me know...

Some events coming up:

Paul Immo discovered a Hot Rod fun run coming up the end of January just outside Richmond, Va. Might be a hike for most, but worth considering.

We've been invited to a British Car Days event in Williamsburg in April. Might be fun to go check it out, and show off our quasi-British/Swedish hybrid cars (B2xx block can be traced ultimately to Triumph...).

Some local projects in the works from a number of members, including your's truly, indicates another DynoDay is needed. HPWorks can only do it in temps above 40F, so we'll likely do it towards the end of March, begining of April.

Carlisle Events of course is coming up in May

And SOC '08 is in the works later in the summer.

But for the immediate future, I think it's time we get together to catch up, dust the cobwebs off and make plans for WASSAAB events '08.

Let me know your thoughts!

The hot rod run sounds good, also the British car days.

My TD05-16G turbo came in....

I'll be installing it probably next weekend. Anyone interested in making that a tech session? I only have but so much room here at the house/garage, but could be fun.

I would love to see it, but I'll be out of town next weekend. I wish something was going this weekend. The weather looks to be decent.

No worries Paul: Turbo doesn't fit. Not even remotely.

We won't be doing the turbo swap next weekend. I got as far as pulling the battery, draining the oil, only to see that the exhaust flange and inlet are both wrong. Nothing fits.

Oh, well...

And this weekend, I've got some "Honey-do's" since I've been on business travel all week...

Well, even though my "new" turbo doesn't quite work out, that doesn't preclude a GTG. Lets do something anyway!

Drive, meet, whatever. Just let me know....

Yeah, me too. Val and I went shopping baby furniture, strollers, etc. today. And I have to work tomorrow for a deadline Monday. I hate to miss the opportunity with this weather (and I REALLY want to check out your mods, Paul!), but this weekend just doesn't work for me.

Going to be COOLLLLLDDDD this weekend...

Never did really get a concensus on whether or not we want to do a GTG this weekend.

I was planning on wrenching on the Commemorative: Pull the turbo and see if it's at all possible to swap the turbine and compressor housings with the TE05-16G cartidge I recieved last week -- figured give it a shot as long as it's here...

My garage is insulated, though not heated. If anyone wants to make the trek out here (I am in the sticks out beyond Warrenton), let me know. Room is but only so big, but it's something to do. Hang out, drink my beer, and we'll see if this -16G is worth messing with...

Saturday is better for me. If this isn't the weekend to do something, we can shift to another weekend...

Say "hi" to my niece while down there... (Goes to Lynchburg College).

Say, which way are you going? You're likely driving right by me....
