Pics of the 900 from Today!

Posted some pics of the turbo install in the other thread, I'll post them again here, along with others of the car from today.

a real SPG! "130----> and up "

[img][/img]

The turbo installed. the CHAR is clocked 180 degrees from the stock clock. the oil feed and return sits tilted about 30 degrees off from centerline. it can also be adjusted about 30 degrees in the other direction too. in order to use the stock W/G actuator and actuator bracket, the compressor and exhaust housing must keep their stock orientation to eachother. this is fine, but the turbo outlet comes out of the bottom rather than directly up. can't use a stock IC on this set up. Anyway, the clocking should be fine for the oil drain, but it's close to being as far as I'd go.

Megasquirt visible

LC1 controller visible. It fits very nicely here, unless you were looking for it, you'd miss it.

Airtemp sensor from a 9000-T mounted in a 9000-T pipe. forget about that GM sensor they suggest, it will just fly apart under boost

Non hydraulic rear mounts off of an 85 900-T

OEM Saab hydraulic front mount with movement limiter modification

36# Lucas Injectors (start with the prince of darkness jokes, but they work!)

Saab 9000 battery tray & battery mounted on driver side of the engine

whole engine shots

Notchback teasers

I take pics of my cars in their natural state (dirty) I should have it cleaned up a bit more for the convention though! we shal see...

Nice! I hope it made it back from that parking lot under its own power
I also think that it looks 100x better w/SPG wheels then those 9k ones.

Going to make it on the Adk run this fall with it?

That looks great.

Your car should be easy to find at SOC with all the stickers on it...

eh, I was beating Ian cooper by about 5000 miles as of about 2 years ago before my car was broken more often than not. last I hear, he is around 280K. I'd be at 300 EASY if the car worked more often

yeah I do, but my high EGT's warped the flanges and they stopped sealing correctly. the welds and all are still in perfect shape. it needs to be planed, and it can be used again... but I think I like the sound of the unequal length manifold. it may be up for sale soon!

That plate bracket was actually attached to the bumper in the junk yard. it came off of a 92 900-S. my original bumper was jacked up. swapped the sheriffs association plate (blaah) with a fred beans saab plate. much more tasteful. PA is a good state, if for nothing more than not having to run front plates!

Those seat belts look like they came out of a 99. Are they easy to install? I've thought about doing that before too.

I've heard having the Colonel along for the ride is +10HP. Still mega envious about the funeral director official business sign. Sigh.
