All right.

During lunch, the same time I spotted Voodoo's Viggen, I quickly stopped by MCTC and snapped a picture.

So far there is no mod done to it. He had a few simple surface cracks, under the driver's side headlight. The front of it was in a bit worse shape from a higher speed incident with uneven ground...I'll let Justin explain.

Anyways, all the patching, for the most part is done. Now we just have to decide how "creative" we want to get.

Without me screwing it up...(ducks and runs)

So are you just using fiberglass and bondo, or some kind of plastomer thats a little flexible?

After you're finished it wouldn't take a bunch more work to make a mold before it gets all chipped-up and sell a few. I have Yankton's 9-3 hood molds here so I'll be gearing-up to make a few of those.

As low as the car is with the H&R + Koni setup, it's really not meant for emergency maneuvers over 150. I'll just leave it at that.

Topher-It looks like it's coming together nicely. Thanks again for all of your help!

Too bad you couldn't make it on Sat. We took my 9-3 out for hot laps. See the pic thread on OT.

Are you changing the bumper at all? Or is this just repair? How much does a new front bumper cost... ?

Curiosity.

Likely just repairing it. A new bumper, was $900+, if I remember right.

He got really cheap shipping to MN so we figured we would try it out. We just used resin and bondo and sanded it down to fix the surface in perfections and some of the cracks. I might experiment with a Plastomer resin for the bottom section to stiffen it up. He has a paint guy in Chicago, that he just has to pay for the material and the guy will shoot it.

We joked around about trying to makes something one off and custom, but I am too nervous about it.

He should have the bumper back on in a few weeks, I should be done with it by next weekend.
