I took a deeper look. I don't think the cylinder walls are pitted. Seems mostly surface rust everywhere. Moving parts are still pretty spiffy (could use a wash). Inside of the block (inside walls)...

I'm going to replace the ebrake cable (the whole thing). The P.O. had cut it on the drivers side a bit before the hook.
