I was also thinking of silicone as it will be removable if need be. I find they attract snow in the winter which, if it builds up too much can tank the cover off.

I got the rear hatch brace from GS. It's the removable one which is much easier to install and if I need to use the full hatch space I can remove the brace. Looks good to in the pebble black finish.

The upper strut brace was a real surprise as many said it did...
