I cut 2/3 of a coil out of my front Koni springs to drop a little more-I like the ride height and look. I think cutting up to one coil is fine.

I removed the balance shafts on my 2.3, threaded that balance shaft oil hole and put a bolt in there with red loctite, adn staked it a little bit. You don't really need that kit gs sells but it works...
