Leaving clutch cover off

Does anyone leave the plastic clutch cover off regularly? Is there any harm to this other than just acting as a dust cover and blocks your from touching moving parts?

Hey all, I'm replacing the clutch on my 99 viggen. Are you supposed to replace the pressure plate as well? Of course I plan to replace the slave with a genuine saab part.

I have those calipers on my viggen for both front brakes. Had them on for about 4 years and 10k miles with no issues, actually I would say they are better than stock mine were painted when I got them...

all other cylinders looked fine, no carbon, no scoring. The engine had overheated due to a blown coolant hose so we thought it might just be a hg, but it wasn't.
