No SOC for me...

It sounds like I will not be going to SOC '07. I would rather have exhaust plus more, and my friend will have a modded Saab by the next SOC. I know this one is important but I am anxious to get the exhaust.
I really do want to go, but like I said, exhaust first.

I was begining to add up the costs for this one.
Registration 195 X 2 390
Track event 175
Dyno 75
Hilton 4 nights X 89 356
in route hotel 75

That's over 1000 bucks. Holy crap. There goes my slush fund.
And that doesn't include what I'll spend on beer and the parts tent.
Better keep Mrs. Bullseye happy till the credit card bill comes.

I would have to pay for gas on top of that.

That total doesn't include a bunch of misc stuff.
Gas will probably be close to 200 bucks.
Plus I'll stop in Cabelas in Dundee. I can't leave a Cabelas for less than 200 bucks.
And of course I'll stop in Ohio on the way home and spend money on fireworks.
Better get some OT in the near future.

Overtime.
I've got a better idea. Have Mrs. Bullseye pick up a few OT shifts.

Phantom fireworks in Ohio just off 76 before PA.
The last stuff they sold me kicked ass. Set off the neighbors car alarm.

My expenses are as follows--
Gas to get there & back -- $100
Food while there -- $30-50.... maybe
C-900 camping -- $0
"day pass", only if forced to buy (probably in the neighborhood of $20 a day)
and I'll probably take a few ghetto baths at the local book stores bathroom, maybe the Taco bell if need be, but the book stores have much nicer bathrooms.

Lame.

You will regret it when the next SOC is on one of the coasts...

My cost

Gas round trip: 150
Registration: 195
Food: 100

I still haven't decided on either the 2 day registration or the whole 4 days. I plan on sleeping in my car or taking up Unkepts offer to camp on his property. I'm still figuring this all out as I go.

$100 sounds about right, depending how heavy footed he is with that spg, its only 531 miles from here.

Good thinking on the bathroom situation. I do a lot of driving at work and get caught in situations where I'm too far from the office for a head call. I would think you could basically take a bath at a book store or Starbucks. The Hippie/ EVO employees would be too afraid to confront you, and calling the Police would violate their personal ethical values.
