Saablink.net

I just wanted to give a big thumbs up for Saablink.net. I'm relatively new to Saab tuning and new to this forum when compared to the "other" Saab forums, but this site is definately the most laid back and entertaining of the group and by far the best in my opinion. Other sites are moderated very conservatively and people are uptight about posting questions, using the search and rehashing information. It's annoying. Blaque this is all because of you I'm sure. You started the joint and keep things very relaxed and positive and have mods with the same attitude. Well done.

Thank you very much.

Although I created and initiated it, Kyle (turbosb), Chip (boxerchip), and Patrik (bollman) helped me to get it off the ground and organizing it. Patrik allow me to host it on his server originally (which I am truely thankful for), and helped me figure out how to run it...I had a small idea on how it worked, but he's the genius.

But all in all I'm glad you enjoy it because I feel it was much needed in the Saab community.

Well, thank you Ced but genius is a bit over the top I like computers, that´s about it.

Countinuing the appraisal, I would like to thank the users of this forum. I´ve never seen a forum with an off-topic area where it´s actually possible to talk politics without the discussions coming out as a roaring flame war. I must say that it´s very refreshing and certainly makes this place worth fighting for.

So, long live saablink! Hurray! umm... :P

Excellent point.

TSL members have also made this site what it is now. There were initially some rough times where people would get somewhat heated during discussions, but I think everyone has figured out that its alright to have a difference in opinion and discuss it on here. That says alot about the type of people we have on the forum.

Also our members have been really good about providing good information all across the forum, and not just on your specific car. Even if the topic may come across as "Rice", everyone respects each other tastes and offers excellent help and feedback.

Well they do say Saab owners are the most educated of any brand. The thing I like about this forum is that when things like politics are discussed and differences in opinions exist, everyone is mature and intelligent in their discussions without immature insults or flaming that have no bearing on the discussion. A lot of credit also has to be given to the moderating however because I know on most car forums, you can't talk about anything remotely controversial without the thread being deleted. My friend was reading over my shoulder the other day when I was writing an off topic post and he couldn't believe we could talk about such things without the thread being deleted. He used to be on Audiworld all the time (before I wrecked his S4 ) and he said you couldnt talk about anything other than Audi related stuff. I have had posts deleted on other forums and I could not figure out why. Another plus...dropping F bombs is OK! I LOVE THAT!
