Boost controller

I installed a turbo xs high performance boost controller in my saab a little while ago and it works great, i really get a lot more psi out of the turbo the only thing is that after a couple times i drive it i have to crank it open a little more because i have a lot of lag in first gear i am not sure why it is doing this, if anyone could offer me some suggetions that would be great.

I have the same MBC. Did you correctly tune it? What you should do is turn it all the way down (stock boost), then turn it up drive and test. Continue to turn it up and test until you hit fuel cutoff at 15.5 psi. Then back down a quarter turn or a half turn.

As far as the lag your talking about, it may just be turbo lag. Since your turbo is now boosting more, you'll notice the lag more. An upgraded exhaust and downpipe along with an intake and other mods will help the turbo lag issue that every turbo has.

Hope this helps.

I've done some minor reading in this area, and wonder where I can get started if this will help.

My delima is that I already have a stage 3 kit on my 97 ng900, and wondered to what degree this will help. Can you explain a little how its suppose to fool the system into believing its not boosting as much.

I heard some are using a dual boost system they can actually switch on and off varying levels of boost.

I'm still studying this, but could use some pointers.

I have an ECU in my 95 ng900 and I am using a TurboXS dual stage boost controller. The ECU effectively raises fuel cutoff so I run 15 normally, then when some one wants to race I flip a switch and I hit 21psi.
